MX Hunting Company
We were founded in 2012 with the aim to provide high-quality, well-managed hunting expeditions for individuals looking to hunt the great desert expanses of Sonora. Our bilingual guides and multi-cultural owners set us apart from other outfitters – tying together the best of Old Mexico with the must-have conveniences of the States. With over 300,000 acres of private hunting land and guaranteed tags, our hunters get to experience all that Sonoran hunting offers. Being able to create memorable hunts and help harvest beautiful trophies is why we do what we do. It’s this mission that keeps our hunters returning year after year. In fact, first-time clients may find that their preferred week is already booked, by one of our many returning hunters.
Hunting in Sonora
The Sonoran desert in Mexico is breathtaking. The landscape has a little of everything; from tree-covered mountains to cacti-covered valleys, it’s rich in natural resources. The rugged terrain is home to a variety of wildlife.
And, thanks to less stringent hunting laws, this limited hunting pressure allows for big game animals to reach trophy size. Not only are the animals astounding and the territory beautiful, the climate is warm, so you can enjoy less frigid temperatures.
The hospitality in Mexico is unmatched. You’ll get to experience it first hand as you interact with our local guides and enjoy delicious meals cooked by our talented chef. The accommodations at our ranch houses are also very comfortable with all modern amenities provided.

Justin
Justin fell in love with trophy hunting when his father accidentally stumbled upon a trophy mule deer. From that time forward, he was hooked. He spent his teenage years in the mountains scouting for deer and hunting. In early 2002, he took a trip to Sonora and got a taste of his first Mexican hunting experience. It was incredible. After that, he began bringing clients to experience the uniqueness trophy hunting in Mexico had to offer. Meanwhile, Justin founded his first successful US based outfitting business, R&K Hunting Company in 2003. It was wildly successful. In 2012, he knew it was time to bring his outfitting experience south of the border and MX Hunting was born.

Jesus “Chuy”
At age 7, Chuy received an air rifle for Christmas and that’s where his passion for hunting began. He hunted doves and rabbits throughout his childhood, and in his early adulthood was introduced to long-range shooting. He was a great shot, and became a respected member of the local shooting club as it quickly became one of his favorite hobbies. This led him to pursue big game hunting and in the matter of a few years, he became an expert Coues deer hunter.
Twenty years ago, he took over his family business raising, selling, and exporting cattle. This experience helped him network and build relationships with ranchers and individuals across the state of Sonora. These relationships have helped MX expand its operations to over 300,000 acres of hunting land. As the COO of MX Hunting Company, Chuy has been able to bridge his professional abilities with his favorite pastime – creating an unforgettable big game trophy hunting experience.
